At uni, I was stubborn. I had an unwavering belief in myself that often expressed itself as arrogance. Then one day, that belief system came crashing down with two simple yet humbling words that a great friend said to me when I was questioning his input, feedback and critique.

Damn. It was so simple. Too simple, even. The feedback in question was completely within my power to just… try. To see. I remember in that moment having a rush of creative liberation because I could just… try it. It might be worse. But it might better. It’s one of the most optimistic points of view on life I can think of. The possibilities, the potential.
